Nigerian woman allegedly murdered by husband in Houston, Texas

A Nigerian woman named Anastacia Oaikhena Lambert (pictured left) was found dead in her home in Houston, Texas on Monday December 8th and Houston police are now looking for her estranged husband,Achilles Lambert, who has gone missing with the couple's 11 month old baby.

27 year old Anastacia was found stabbed to death and her body stuffed inside a refrigerator in the Houston apartment. The decomposing body was found by maintenance workers after a strong foul odor was perceived coming from the woman's home.

Bishop Obinim kicks & steps on the stomach of a pregnant woman

The founder of Ghana-based International God's Way Church, a man that goes by the name pastor Daniel Obinim is in trouble once again after a video of him stepping and kicking the stomach of a pregnant woman in his church surfaced this week.

Afia Schwarzenegger who was recently battling with Bishop Obinim has come out to state that she has not bleached her skin even though it looks so. The TV personality came under attack for bleaching her skin when her fight with the man of God reached its peak.

The Elembelle Police command have started a man-hunt for the body of a 21 year old woman who committed suicide Friday afternoon, by jumping into river Ankobrah via the Dominase Bridge in the Western Region.

The woman, identified only as Rita, was travelling with a group of friends from Tarkwa to Anyinase in the Ellembele District where they went to bury a departed friend.

One person arrested in Ecobank Manager’s killing

Police in Kumasi have arrested one person in connection with the murder of an Ecobank branch manager of Ghana in the Ashanti Region.

The suspect is currently assisting with investigations.

“As of now, we have not been able to arrest the perpetrators, but we have arrested one person who is assisting us with investigations and we have also declared a reward of 5,000 to anybody whose information will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators,”the Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police, Yussif Tanko said

A Phoenix white police officer on Tuesday December 2nd, shot dead Rumain Brisbon, a 34 year old father of four, after he mistook Brisbon's pill bottle for a gun.

According to Phoenix police report, Brisbon was suspected of peddling hard drugs. Following a tip-off, he was approached by a 30 year old white police cop to asked him to come down from his Cadillac SUV for a search which he agreed to.

According to the police version of events, while coming down from his vehicle, Brisbon was said to have 'appeared to be removing something' from the rear seat. The officer instructed him to show his hands but instead Brisbon placed one or both hands in his waistband area before fleeing to a nearby apartment building.

The police officer pursued him and they claim he refused the officers command asking him to get on the ground. Then they claim he began insulting the officer who he struggled with after he was caught.

The police report said “During the struggle Brisbon put his left hand in his pocket and the officer grabbed on to the suspect’s hand, while repeatedly telling the suspect to keep his hand in his pocket,”.

The two men tumbled inside an apartment after a door was opened. The officer believed he felt the handle of a gun while holding the suspects hand in his pocket”, the statement continued. Having become “unable to maintain his grip on the suspect’s hand”, the officer shot Brisbon twice in the torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A search of Brisbon’s pocket showed the item was a vial containing several oxycodone tablets. Police report said a handgun and a jar apparently containing marijuana was found inside Brisbon’s SUV. Brisbon was found to have a criminal record including a burglary conviction.

The officer, who has worked for the department for seven years, was not harmed. Police said he was in the area to investigate an alleged burglary but was told by two people that men inside a black Cadillac SUV were engaged in a drug deal.
